The US Military, law enforcement and civilian shooting enthusiasts have been hesitant to use a QD attachment because they can unintentionally release from the weapon during use.
Specifically US Military and law enforcement units that work on, in, or near a maritime environment have discontinued the use of QDs due to the potential of losing a weapon in the water.
T10 realized this problem and developed a multi-purpose solution. With T10’s Hybrid Attachment Point System, you can now use your QD the conventional way if you desire, but you can also convert your sling to a “Hardpoint” configuration so that you will never have to worry about your QD disconnecting from your gun during use.
The T10 Hybrid Attachment Point System was engineered and developed so that you insert the QD into the attachment on the rail, with the button facing toward the muzzle. This design ensures your sling is always “pulling” the QD into the attachment to limit the possibility of your QD accidentally releasing. Also, you have the option to mount it with the button facing the shooter, if you so desire.
Additionally, if you decide to “hardpoint” your sling to the gun, you simply place the enclosed C-clip into the groove incorporated on the post of QD, and push downward until it snaps into place.
Once this is accomplished, the clip is now located behind the rim of the attachment and is locked in place (see photo).
It is virtually impossible for your QD to pull out or release accidentally during use. Also, you will never have to worry about the Paracord fraying and/or rubbing against your rail and damaging the finish. All thanks to our design.

This additional safety measure gives the operator confidence during continuous or extended periods of firing that the connection point to their weapon will not weaken or melt like Paracord commonly does, while still providing years of hardcore use.
This option is only available for orders of 250 or more and has a 6 week lead time since the clip has to be custom made.
