Our patent pending T10 S.A.F.E. QD was designed with a built-in tab (key) located on the post. (see picture)
 
It was purposely designed this way so that when you insert the QD into our T10 S.A.F.E. Rail Attachment, the tab on the post of the QD should be lined up with the slot (keyway) on our S.A.F.E. Rail Attachment. 
 
Now, you push the QD fully forward, into the attachment and rotate the S.A.F.E. QD 25°. Once these two steps are accomplished the tab is now located behind the rim of the attachment and cannot be pulled out accidentally.
 
This concept ensures your sling is securely attached to your rifle, and greatly reduces the chance of having your QD release from the attachment.
 
If you need additional confidence that your sling will not release from your attachment, insert the QD into the S.A.F.E Attachment with the push-button facing toward the muzzle of your firearm. This concept of mounting creates a “pulling” effect on the QD so there is constant tension on the QD while it is in the S.A.F.E. Rail Attachment.
